Happy Birthday mr. Pulp!

1) My Legendary Girlfriend (da Separations, 1992)

No cellulite afternoons… and she is balancing… balancing on the edge of ugliness tonight…

2) Disco 2000 (da Different Class, 1995)

You were the first girl at school to get breasts / and Martyn said that you were the best / all the boys all loved you but I was a mess / I had to watch to trying to get you undressed…

3) Pencil Skirt (da Different Class, 1995)

I’ll be around when he’s not in town / I’ll show you how you’re doing it wrong / I really love it when you tell me to stop… oh it’s turning me on…

4) Lipgloss (da His ‘n’ Hers, 1994)

What are they gonna say when they run into you again? / that your stomach looks bigger and your hair is a mess, and your eyes are just holes in your face / and it rains every day, and when it doesn’t / the sun makes you feel worse anyway…

5) Babies (da His ‘n’ Hers, 1994)

Well it happened years ago, when you lived on Stanhope Road / we listened to your sister when she came home from school / ‘cos she was two years older, and she had boys in her room…

6) Bad Cover Version (da We Love Life, 2001)

I heard an old girlfriend has turned to the church / she’s trying to replace me, but it’ll never work…

7) Like A Friend (A Little Soul b-side, dalla colonna sonora di Great Expectations, 1998)

I’ve done this before, and I will do it again / come on and kill me baby / while you smile like a friend.. oh and I’ll come running, just to do it… again..

8) Do You Remember The First Time? (da His ‘n’ Hers, 1994)

Now I don’t care what you’re doing / no I don’t care if you screw him! .. Just as long as you save a piece for me…

9) Sorted For E’s & Wizz (da Different Class, 1995)

Oh yeah the pirate radio station told us what was going down / got the tickets from some mashed up bloke in Camden Town / oh and no-one seems to know exactly where it is, but that’s okay ‘cause we’re all sorted out for E’s and wizz..

10) Sunrise (da We Love Life, 2001)

I used to hide from the sun, tried to live my whole life underground / why’d you have to rise & ruin all my fun?  / just turned over, closed the curtains on the day.. but here comes sunrise.
